Interview with one of Diddy's new producers from the DMV Rob Holladay
Written by Cola Janetti
Hey Rob, I see you are one of the newest members of the Bad Boy production team The Hitmen. How did that come about?
It all started with an A&R named Skid. He introduced me to Puff and we’ve been working together ever since. I remember I was on a jet with PD heading to Vegas and he made the announcement on camera. It was crazy.
So are you officially signed with Bad Boy publishing or Bad Boy Management?
Bad Boy Management. My publishing is through Universal.
What is it like working for Diddy?
It’s a challenging but inspirational experience and most of all its fun. He lets me be myself creatively.
I know you got your big break with Yung Berg? Do you still work with him?
Nope. He still raps?
What other artists would you love to work with?
Pusha T, The Killers, Dexter Wansel, Madonna…the list goes on. I’m a fan of music.
What kind of equipment did you start making beats with? What equipment do you currently use now?
I started making beats in 10th grade with FL Studio and I’m still using it. The only difference now is that I have a shit load of sounds, VST’s, and the opportunity to collaborate with a lot of fascinating musicians.
What’s next for Rob Holladay?
The world.
Have any shout outs?
Mom, I love you.
DMV, it’s our turn.
Gwen let’s get this money.
